Town of Ellendale ELECTIONS 2026

For the 2026 calendar year there will be (3) council positions open for (2) year terms per the Town of Ellendale Charter which can be found at: https://charters.delaware.gov/ellendale.pdf

At least (10) business days before the day of election, which shall be held the first Saturday of the month of January (January 3, 2026) 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Town Hall, nominations shall be filed with a representative of the Town Council. Said nominations shall be in writing, signed by the nominee. Each candidate shall also file a notarized Candidate Filing Form which is available at Town Hall and on the town website under Forms.

At such annual election every person who shall have attained the age of 18 years on or before the date of annual municipal election and who shall be a bona fide resident of the Town of Ellendale for a period of 6 months and who shall be a resident of the State of Delaware, shall have (1) vote.  All voters MUST show proof of residency to proceed with the voting process and vote in person.
