Prescribed Burn March 5 to April 30, 2024 At Ponders Tract
Please follow the link above for information in regards to the Prescribed Burn Window: March 5th to April 30, 2024 on the Pemberton Forest Preserve at Ponders Tract in Ellendale.
You may see smoke at times while the controlled burn is implemented by specially trained crews that are nationally qualified in prescribed fire. These burns are necessary management in the restoration of the forest at Ponders Tract, as well as the added benefit of decreasing potential risk of wildfires.
