Help DNREC spread the word about asbestos hazards
Please help the Dept. of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) remind Owners and Operators about the ongoing hazards of asbestos, specifically during renovation and/or demolition projects.
Common asbestos containing materials include drywall joint compounds, blown-in insulation, vinyl flooring, pipe insulation, boiler insulation, asphalt roofing and cement siding. An asbestos inspection prior to the start of the renovation/demolition would inform the Owner and Operator to any asbestos hazard that may occur during the project.
