Public Hearing will be held before the Town Council of the Town of Ellendale to consider the following:

Review of an Annexation Petition and Zoning Request for a parcel of land totaling 151.03 acres located on South Old State Road, Ellendale, and identified as tax parcels 230-26.00-115.00, 230-26.00-115.04, 230-26.00-122.00, 230-31.00-31.00, and 230-31.00-34.00. The property is currently zoned MR Medium Residential by Sussex County. The proposed zoning is a mix of R3 General and Multifamily Residential Use and C3 Highway Commercial. The property is located on the east side of DuPont Boulevard, west of South Old State Road, and south of Sharons Road. The annexation category according to Ellendale’s 2020 Comprehensive Plan is Phase 1 and the land use designation is a mix of residential and commercial. Petitioned by the owner, Liborio-Ellendale LLC, and is subject to an Annexation Agreement with the developer.

A public hearing has been scheduled for Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 7:15 pm before the Town Council. Written comments will also be accepted prior to the conclusion of the public hearing via mail to Town of Ellendale, P.O. Box 6, Ellendale, DE 19941.
