Please make plans to attend the Town of Ellendale, 80th Anniversary D-Day Recognition ceremony to honor our heroes who served in WWII. The ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024, 1:00 PM at the War Memorial. D-Day, also known as the Normandy Invasion, was a pivotal event of WWII. D-Day, observed annually on June 6th, brings overwhelming memories of the brave men and women who fought a strategically planned and well-executed battle that ultimately led to the end of the Second World War.
