Domesticated Animals (Dogs) at Large
The Town of Ellendale DOES NOT allow domesticated animal (DOGS) to roam freely, even if you are with them. They must be on a leash and under the control of a person physically able to control it, at all times, when not on your own property. We are receiving several complaints concerning loose dogs. This can and will result in fines up to $100 for any person violating this ordinance.
Also…when walking your domesticated animal (dogs), you are responsible for the removal of any of your animal’s excreta upon any public or private property that is not your own. If this is not immediately removed, you can be fined up to $100. These sections shall not apply to any visually or physically handicapped person or their service animal.
No Domesticated Animal shall be allowed in any park open to the public in the Town except dogs officially licensed as a service animal. (No Dogs in Town Park) Any person convicted of violating a provision of this ordinance shall be fined not more than $100
